The photos on this page show a fireplace and updated home theatre setup as part of an extensive remodel project we did July-Sept of 2009 in Paradise Valley. The original layout consisted of a built in entertainment center where the armiore now sits, with an opening for the 32" TV where the fireplace currently is, and a small gas/metal fireplace to the right. The existing structure was completely demolished. The wall was then completely reconstructed and set back to center it in the living space. The electrical, plumbing, in wall pest control, and fireplace routing were all revised to accomodate the new layout seen above. The wiring for the Home Theatre was updated to accomodate 7.1 surround sound, HDMI, and Blu-Ray. All electrical and entertainment outlets were recessed behind the Samsung 8000 series 55" LED TV so that no visible wires, (excepting the cords for the lamps seen here) can be seen in the finished installation. The entertainment system consists of Pioneer Elite components hidden in the armoire with all cabling installed behind the wall for a clean invisible look. The speaker system is Martin Logan, and the system was custom wired by Quality Solutions to be able to play from the bedroom iteself or acccess the main system in the family room. The fireplace components were custom made on the east coast and then shipped to us to be constructed on site. It weighs more than 9,000 pounds and required special consideration in the design and construction of the new wall to accomodate the loads this would place on the framing. The room was then completed with a repaint in Behr Premium Plus Satin.
